  1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE LCII AND PERFORMA SW PATCH.

  3. The following procedure updates three system files and allows the Macintosh LC II and
  4. older 400 series Performa to communicate with the Epson Stylus Color 800.
  5.  
  6. 1. Install the Epson Stylus 800 driver 3.1BA from either the floppy, the CD-ROM or from the Downloaded files.
  7.  
  8. 2. Copy the following three files, contained in the floppy disk, to the HDD into the indicated locations.
  9.  
  10.     EpsonStylus(EX) (v3.14E) to the System/Extension Folder.
  11.  
  12.     EpsonUtility (v3.14E) to the System/Extension/Epson Folder/Utility Folder.

  14.     UTStylus 800 (v3.14E) to the System/Extension/Epson Folder/Utility Folder.

  16. 3. Restart the computer.
  17.  
  18. At this point you should be able to connect the Epson Stylus Color 800 printer to your Macintosh and select EpsonStylus(EX) driver in the Chooser.

  20. Once you exit the Chooser, your Macintosh will communcate with the printer and allow you to print.
